I love me some turkey!

SAP here…

Well kiddies, it’s been a long time coming but it’s finally arrived. The burying of the hatchets, the finding of the common ground, the letting of the bygones to be bygones has finally arrived. We, the Perry brothers, Ponceman and SAP, have finally calmed the once rough waters between us and Mediocre Films, aka Greg Benson. In short….

….it’s all good

So, this Thanksgiving has an extra special thanks-ing from us to the universe and all the fans who have clamored and begged for more RP. We are super thrilled to announce we are officially in pre-production on all new episodes of the Retarded Policeman. More announcements will be coming your way soon. In the meantime, look for new RP episodes to hit the Mediocre films channel in the beginning of 2012.

Again, thanks everyone for your support over the years and get your giggles warmed up for all new RP episodes tickling your funny bones and pushing the envelopes of the uptight.

PONCE here…

I’m very excited to do new episodes of RP. I love the show and I can’t wait to make new ones. It’s gonna rock. And thanks everybody for loving RP. It’s really fun to make them and it’s gonna be here soon so let’s get rockin’!

Again, I look at the line up of flicks Hollywood is pumping out and it’s all the SOS, that’s Same Ol’ Shit, they been excreting since they dropped into lazy land and decided the best way to make money is recycle things they already own, spend 30+ Million advertising it, and sheep (audiences) will pay to see it because they don’t know that other movies are actually out there.

The big shit sandwich here is that Hollywood could make good movies AND make original ones AND make money on them if they weren’t greedy fucking demons.

This is the only kind of reboot I'm interested in seeing.

Why are there no real leading men and women in Hollywood anymore? They would eventually have to pay them more.  They don’t want to be in the Lead Actor Gets 20 Million Per Movie business anymore.  They want to be in the Flavor Of the Month is Star of New Shitty Franchise That will Just Reboot/Reinvent itself IF/WHEN disposable new star is big enough to demand pay raise.

Go to imdb.com and see for yourself all the new old shit coming down the tubes. Remakes, Comic Books, Reboots, Sequels… and all of them are going to suck. I said it. I will give myself a 5% error factor here. Meaning if 100 movies come out of the Hollywood machine 5 of them might not totally suck

Raise a toast with me to changing the game. I vow to make a feature film that won’t suck, will be original, will honor great movies that deserve a nod, will have good acting, and won’t waste hundreds of millions of dollars justifying the salaries of talentless assholes. I’M TALKING TO YOU GREEN LANTERN! GI JOE 2… YOUR ASS IS ON MY LIST TOO! SUPERMAN REBOOT SUCK MY ASS! NEW SPIDERMAN??? LICK A TURD IN HELL. I’ll show you how it’s done. I’ll keep you informed as to my progress but by the gods I SHALL MAKE A FEATURE FILM THAT WILL NOT BE A LAZY MARKETING PLOY DESIGNED TO MAKE MORE PROFIT FROM MCDONALD’S MERCHANDISING DEALS THAN ACTUAL TICKET SALES!

Cross fingers fellow movie lovers, I’m heading to the director’s chair, guns ablazin’!

SAP HERE ~

We’ve been busy. Or, I’ve been busy. Ponce has been taking a lil’ vacation. He met a girl, online, that he digs. They are gonna have some face to face time soon to see if there’s a love connection. Cross fingers. Ponce deserves some romance.

On the horizon, the things that I’ve been busy with…

  1. Mime Very Own Book – due to hit bookshelves Dec 2011. Stars Doug Jones with cameos by Ponce. Also a cameo or two from yours truly, Adam Mock (co-writer) and Eric Curtis (photographer extraordinaire) This book is hilariousness. Imagine the Far Side if every scenario had a Mime, and instead of a cartoon it was surreal photographs that captured both the real world and an artists brainstorm in each image.
  2. Fallen Superheroes – another book. From Eric Curtis’ brain cells, the notion is superheroes that suffer from the same troubles as every other human on the planet… but they are bulletproof… literally. Here’s some blurbage for you to salivate on…

“Fallen Superheroes is a caricatured look at extraordinary everyday people through the visionary lens of professional photographer Eric Curtis. Using superheroes as the allegory, Curtis explores the not-so-glamorous and sometimes dark realities of those who strive to live their dreams against all odds. Curtis once again pairs his trademark imagery with the witty prose of Scott Allen Perry and Adam Mock (Mime Very Own Book), making Fallen Superheroes an eye-popping, gut-busting, esoteric commentary on the unique individuals who color our lives.”

  3. TOP SECRET FEATURE FILM – Can’t say much other than it’s a very funny horror movie. Doug Jones, Hanna Hall, and other cool peeps MIGHT be starring in it. I might be directing it, might have written it, and might have a lead role in it. Ponce might be in it too. It might be kicking into high gear and you might hear about it within the next 6 weeks.
If all these mights line up right, this movie WILL kick ass.

That’s the teaser version of things. More to come as it unfolds.

If you are wondering about when we are going to have some new YouTube videos, the answer is I really don’t know. If it was easy to crank out videos, the quality we want to make, we’d do it all the time. Sadly, we do not have the resources to make that happen. We are not anywhere near the level as some of our YouTube friends who actually make a living making their videos. We just don’t have the subscribers. Without the views, without a sponsor, there’s just not really any money being generated from the videos we release, which means everything we do is completely out of pocket. So, I’ve been focusing on getting projects up and running that will pay the bills. Close to making that happen. In the meantime, YouTube will have to wait.

If you are interested in getting on the inside track for fan-only bonus content for Mime Very Own Book then click this: MimeMob.com

Stay tuned for wonderfulness.

At the Vegas Airport

At the Vegas Airport

SAP here…

So the Ponceman and I are sitting at the recharge zone in the Vegas airport and we figured this would be a good time to drop a blog log since we have been off the grid for the past 2 weeks.

What’s been goin’ down since last we bloggled?

We moved, for one thing, for one big thing, for one big draining mind-numbing thing. For those who don’t know it, Ponce and I have shared a cozy one bedroom apartment in Los Feliz (east Hollywood) for the past 2 and a half years. Since he moved in with me full time it’s been a slow adjustment to figure out how to live together in such a tiny place. The adjustment finally landed on DON’T live together in a tiny space.

Sooooo, we got a loft downtown in Little Tokyo/Arts district. I gotta say, even though all our shit’s still in boxes and my bed isn’t even set up yet (sleeping on the fold out couch) the feeling of gigantic space the new place gives us has made us both ridiculously happy instantly. We both feel healthier and are quickly falling in love with our new neighborhood. We might ask it to marry us. Or at least try to do some heavy petting with it.

The new space means we have room for, not only all our clothes and groceries and other typical apartmenty stuff, but for props, cameras, grip gear and more. That means we will soon be setting up more shoots and won’t have to struggle to find locations and won;t have to walk around big piles of camera equipment and sound gear in our living room. We went from a 550 sq foot one bedroom to a 1220 sq foot loft with 18 foot ceilings.

The poopy side, there’s always a poopy side, is that we won’t get to unpack and set things up for another couple of weeks. The up side to the poopy side is the reason we can’t unpack is because we are off to New Orleans and our hometown Lafayette, LA for the next 10 days. We get to see the family, sit on a panel discussion, run around the streets of New Orleans surrounded by mesh-underwearing males, and for the first time in a long time… relax a little.

Once we get back we unpack, organize and get ready to hit Chicago… why? We are going to be shooting a new series (cross fingers) that will make mucho laughter emit from the guttural giggle centers of our fans. More to come on that soon, meanwhile here’s Ponce…

PONCE here…

The new place is cool. It’s really big and I got a new bunk bed with an office underneath it. And the couch in my office folds out into a guest bed so we can have sleepovers and parties and our friends don’t have to drive home they can just party with us all night.

I can’t wait till our mama visits us in the new place at the end of the month and she will help us out making it cool and she’ll love it.

Now we’re going to New Orleans and gonna see the family and sistah with her pregnant belly. There’s a little baby in there and it’s a girl and Bro-in-law can’t make a boy baby so he’s a girl. AndI can’t wait to have a new niece from sistah’s belly. And I wish father and everyone could come visit soon too.

Can’t wait to go to Chicago and see that muthafoko Adam Mock. And I will tell him to do the Mock-erana. We’re gonna do a really funny new series with him and It’s gonna kick ass. Bro says we can’t talk about it much yet but we will update everybody when we got it going soon.

Now off to New Orleans and when we get back starting on a new feature script that’s funny as hell with Cozmo in it.And I’m gonna be his sidekick. It’s another secret but I think we are gonna do it soon.

That’s all for now. And everybody checkout our new video the Parkour Odyssey. Some people hate it but that’s okay ’cause we like it and the music rocks and bro wracks his balls in it. watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2omXBcm3FU

talentsaddnessThere is a sad truth to this life we lead… we being humans, especially the ones who live in America.  The sad truth is, if there is a way to make money on something there is no shortage of people to step up and take that money, regardless of how many lives it destroys.  I will not name names and point fingers, but all you have to do is look at the guests who appeared at the MJ Staples Center tribute.  It isn’t hard to pick out who was there for exposure (exposure=career resurrection/money) and who was there because they truly cared.

I will point a positive finger at Magic Johnson, a game-changing legend in his own right, who was there ONLY to share his love of MJ.  And a sweet new view of Brooke Shields has settled in my heart after hearing her talk about her relationship with Michael.  It reminded me that Michael Jackson was not from this planet.

Michael Jackson was in the spotlight since he was 5 years old and had all the perks that go with that spotlight.  It’s like being born a king… a king who has to perform, has to produce something the people like, or you lose his crown.  Michael Jackson performed better than anyone on this planet.  He was never one of US.

US=you and me=U.S.=United States.

There are no more icons.  The word itself will have no meaning soon, just like “Diva” before it.  The American people, the ones who feed the tabloid media, the ones who thrive on watching celebrities torn apart to the point of death, have destroyed art, artists, and the spirit of creativity.  There are no new Michael Jacksons out there because TALENT is no longer required for one to be a superstar.  TALENT is a ghost of the past.  Who needs TALENT when you have an endless supply of hot teens and pre-teens the entertainment business can dress up to prance around playing Rockstar.  Rockstar… is that a drink or a video game?  There’s another world that has been castrated.  There are no balls left in that word.  Just an empty sack of use-to-be-testosterone-filled-power.  All the “rockstars” of today are disposable, with shelf lives of 2 to 5 years… if they are lucky.

I am here to spill the harsh reality of life without art to the ones who have given power to the TALENTLESS.  Nobody will care when today’s “artists” die because the ones the entertainment business has promoted have created NO ART.  When Lindsey Lohan leaves this life the only contribution that will be brought up is… I can’t think of one.  She was in a remake of The Parent Trap.  And did a lot of drugs and showed her snatch and is/isn’t a lesbian whenever the wind blows.  There.  That’s her legacy.  There will be no Staples Center memorial service for The Jonas Brothers either.  Boo Fucking Hoo.

At least when Michael Jackson was torn apart by the media and rabid masses of our American culture, he had an actual legacy to protect.  A legacy that was damaged beyond repair.  But nothing can erase the impact Michael Jackson had on lives… human lives… lives of the people on this planet that he was never from.  My life, the life of my brother, sister, my parents, friends, were all affected by Michael Jackson’s talent.  He was a performer that could unite the entire world, as he did on more than one occasion.  We Are The World… If you don’t know what it was, and I don’t mean just the song, then google that shit.

Which brings us to our tribute video.  It will NOT be in the YouTube partner program.  That’s one way that YouTubers can make money, they get a small percentage of the advertisements Google places on their video pages.  Our video will not be part of that program.  Why not?  Because we did not make the video to make money.  We made it because we love Michael Jackson and want to express it the best way we can.  Imagine that; a Tribute video made to pay Tritbute.  Tribute to MJ  for all the reasons I’ve mentioned and many more.  TRIBUTE… another word that will soon have no meaning.  Maybe Coca Cola or McDonald’s will sponsor the next big celebrity wake so we can all mourn and pump a McTurd buger into our bellies at the same time.

All the people in our tribute video have their own special connection to MJ and his music.  Dirty Jenny, our friend who plays guitar in the video,  played on the MJ Track Stranger In Moscow.  She was mentored by David Williams whose guitars you hear on almost every Michael Jackson hit.  Jenny was all set to do the big HBO live gig in 1995 that Michael had to cancel due to “health” issues.  These issues happened to coincide with the return of child molestation charges and a new media hunger to tear him apart.  That’s what sold more papers, made more headlines, and made more people tune in so the advertising dollars could go higher and higher.

My brother, the mighty Ponceman, and I used to perform the song “State of Shock” off the Jackson’s Victory album, duet with Michael and Mick Jagger.  We’d perform it every time it came on the radio.  We’d set up special performances of it for whatever audience we could assemble.  I was 14, Ponce was 6.  We grew closer to each other with every performance.  Why?  Because the music was that good.  It made us move.  It made us dance, sing, and feel like we could conquer the world. And we still perform it to this day.  This video is the culmination of all those past performance.

So when we post our video on Friday, try to empty your minds of all the negatives this world has thrown at MJ and sit back and let the music take you away to a time when performers made news and got ratings, not because of a drug overdose or domestic abuse or some other scandal, but because of one simple little thing historians will soon attempt to explain to future generations who don’t grasp the concept… a little thing known as TALENT.  Michael Jackson had it and the business world of entertainment chiseled it away.

So, Sundance was great fun and a wonderful experience, especially for Ponce. Not only did he get to meet some actors and celebrities, he got recognized A LOT, and not just for Retarded Policeman. A favorite moment was when he was recognized by Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds) for Wunderkammer. He stopped Ponce to tell him how great his performance was and how much he loved the film. It made Ponce’s day and also ignited a fuse… the fuse of blowing up 2009 all over this muthafoko!

We’ve gone through the ol’ youtube channel and cleaned it out. If you can’t find videos of ours you really like, fret not, we shall have a private page for the real fans, the you fans, that come here for more of us.  It won’t be up for a bit, but we will have a nice little members only area… a FREE members only area.

Also, we would love to hear from YOU more. Please comment here for now and tell us if there are any videos you miss, things you’d like to see, ideas for a members only site and anything else that’s hemming and hawing around in your craw.

Ponce here…

Gonna shoot more days on the VH1 show with Lance Krall. Maybe make a little mini-movie out of it on youtube or maybe private. Hope you guys like our stuff and hopefully we will get our own show going soon.  And please leave us some feedback.

Rock On – Ponce
